The Zambezi Sun Hotel is situated in the 46 hectare (114 acres) un-spoilt African bushveld of the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and reflects the richness and diversity of the country's heritage.
This hotel with its warm earthy architecture, inspired by an African walled village, is set to turn your stay into a memorable experience.
All 212 en-suite guest rooms are open and airy and decorated with hand crafted fusion of colorful Zambian designs.
The Happy Hippo Club is situated in the Zambezi Sun Hotel and is the perfect spot where kids can be kids under the watchful eye of specially trained child-minders.
It is also ideal for larger groups and conferences and offers unlimited FREE access to the falls.
Sun Set Cruise
The African Queen is a triple deck 70ft catamaran, furnished with Rhodesian Teak, Beech Wood and brass finishes. Accommodating a total of 120 guests, offering luxurious cruises on the Zambezi River, you can experience all the wonders that nature and this mighty river have to offer. Functions, venue hire and conference rooms are available.
On arrival at the Royal Landing, you are greeted with a cold cocktail and the sounds of the Marimba Band, a local instrument that laments the sounds of Africa. A full bar on both upper and lower deck serve a selection of cocktails, iced drinks and a variety of snacks. The African Queen embraces both the mystery and tradition of an African way of life untouched by time.

The South African Department of Health has issued a statement that all returning travellers from South Africa to Zambia and travellers from Zambia to South Africa will now require proof of yellow fever vaccination. Previously, this was not required. All in-transit passengers between the two destinations, irrespective of the time period in transit, will also require proof of yellow fever vaccination.
All guests who need a visa will need to buy a visa on arrival at Livingstone Airport.
A single entry visa is US$50.00 per person.
Clients who stay out of Zambia for one night and are flying out of Livingstone Airport
must get a double entry visa on arrival at a cost of US$80.00 per person.
This is payable in US dollars cash only. Please also be advised that pre 1995 notes are not accepted within Zambia. This does not affect Chobe Day trippers

For the adventurous or young at heart it is possible hang over the edge of the Victoria Falls - It is true when the river flow is at a safe level during the months of September to December, you can swim in a naturally formed pool known as the Devil’s Swimming Pool right on the edge of the falls. This pool is accessed from Livingstone Island – the very island that David Livingstone first saw the falls from. The natural rock wall just below the water stops you from being washed over the edge despite the current.
